Update

As cities around Texas begin putting restrictions on groups of 50 or more, having restaurants provide to go and drive thru only, and grocery stores limiting both hours and what people can purchase we have to keep our heads on straight. You get what you focus on so I believe we should all focus on things we can take action on.

-Can you offer special services or measures for elderly or at risk individuals

-Monitor bill that is at the Senate right now for approval as there is lots of small business relief in it but you will want to be quick to act (we will be providing updates)

-Buy Local- What Restaurants can you order from? What vendors of your business could you use a smaller local company for?

- Reduce unnecessary spending - Encourage employees do it personally, and do it within the company (require approval over a certain dollar amount and talk about reducing waste of materials)

- Leadership- This is the time to communicate like crazy with your team and be the calming and decisive force

-As of 3/15/20 you are allowed to take ALL employees temperatures when they show up at work and if they have a fever send them home (Note: You can NOT discriminate and select who you want to check)

-Move ALL employees to direct deposit to reduce handling of paper, interaction with with other staff while picking up check, and having to go bank or check cashing place

-Use Telemedicine, almost all carriers have opened up this for free. Push your people to use this and call us if you need help setting it up or getting info out

- As tests are hitting our cities, most carriers are waiving testing. Encourage employees to use telemedicine first and then go for testing if recommended (currently you can NOT just drive over and get tested do to limited number of tests available, plus risking exposure to other people)

-Please empathize with team members who don't have childcare. Be flexible on hours, maybe allow them to come to office, work from home, compensate for babysitter if possible. (think out of the box)

-ALLOW ANY EMPLOYEES who can work from home to have the option to do so. Begin thinking about and taking action on more employees being able to work from home.

- This is a great time to come together as a company, city, country, and planet. Think about how you and your team can give back even if it's in a small way.

-Some of your greatest ideas, biggest money makers, and best operational improvements will come from this so embrace it
